Welcome to the Faculty of Cultural Materials Conservation (FCMC)
A place with cultural heritage atmosphere
Faculty of Cultural Materials Conservation (FCMC), began its educational and research activities simultaneously with the establishment of Tabriz Islamic Art University in 1999 The faculty expanded his activity in 2008 with the admission of 47 students in the B.A. program of conservation and restoration of cultural properties. In 2012, with the establishment of the M.Sc. program in Archaeometry, it started the graduated educational courses. Recently, with the establishment of graduate M.A. degrees in Archaeology and conservation and restoration of cultural properties, respectively in 2017 and 2019, the faculty expanded its research and education activities in graduate levels. FCMC has three main departments that are working very closely to each other. These are:
1) Department of Conservation and Archaeometry
2) Department of Archaeology
3) Department of Museology and Tourism
