The FCMC at Tabriz Islamic Art University is a new building housed within the site of old leather factory of the province, called Khosravi Tannery. It has been constructed in 1932, and has been later closed due to its inconsistency with neighboring newly built residential areas and some environmental concerns. In 1997, the property’s ownership was granted by the local government to Tabriz Islamic Art University, where after restoration and adaptation of the buildings, the complex was given a new life, as one of the campuses of the university.
